Replace Existing File

This file uploader works well, but I have a problem with the facility to replace an existing file. When I try to upload a file of the same name, an message appears:

Replace existing files with uploaded files? Yes/No.

When a file of the same name is uploaded a message is received:

Return Code 4 – no file was uploaded.

What does this error message mean and why was the original file not overwritten?

I am using version 2.5 on a Joomla 2.5.25 site.

@Traveller83. Could you provide a screenshot showing what you are referring to? I want to see the two screenshots:

1. When I try to upload a file of the same name, an message appears: Replace existing files with uploaded files? Yes/No.
2. When a file of the same name is uploaded a message is received: Return Code 4 – no file was uploaded.
