@Piper. Thanks for posting. The source code for the page isn’t going to help. Is it possible for you to send me an email with the link to the page, and also a temporary login for me to be able to see what’s going on? You can send the email to support[at]valorapps[dot]com.

BTW, please let me know about your server setup. I need to know the server OS, PHP version, and Joomla version. My plugin displays this information in the plugins manager. So, just copy and paste that info here.

@filpi2. I have an answer for you as to what is going on.

It seems as though the problem is that IE9 is incompatible with mootools versions 1.1 and 1.2. If you click F12 and select “Console”, then refresh the page with the listing, you will see the following error come up: “SCRIPT5022: DOM Exception: INVALID_CHARACTER_ERR (5) mootools.js, line 1 character 21432”

Here is a discussion about the problem: http://mootools-users.660466.n2.nabble.com/Moo-mootools-and-ie9-some-relavant-bug-td6172026.html

Here is a possible solution: http://www.youjoomla.com/joomla-1.5-moo-1.2.4-and-ie9-bug-fix.html

So, the problem is not with my plugin, as you can see from the error itself and the same problem that others have experienced. Maybe you should consider to upgrade to Joomla 2.5 soon, since Joomla 1.5 will reach the end of its life in April 2012.

Anyways, I hope my analysis can help you.

@dituyi. Thanks for sending me info via email. I examined the site, and as I suspected, the problem was with your WYSIWYG editor adding various tags to the text you type in. Just click show/hide to reveal the actual html text in the article, and you will see the extra tags. Just remove the tags.

in reply to: How to set MIME types for Photoshop files? #1476

@DesignM8. Thanks for posting. All you have to do is to use the mime type provided to you in the error message. So, please add “image/vnd.adobe.photoshop” to your list of permitted mime types.

I deliberately set the error message to list the detected mime type so that the user can see what mime type is being detected.

Hope this helps. If you need any further help, don’t hesitate to post again.

@daveozric. Ok, I just did a quick test on Chrome and IE 9. It showed on Chrome 16.0.912.77 just like it did on Safari.

On IE9, I did notice that it started to load and then went blank. Then after I click on the “Open in a New Window” icon in the top right hand corner, and then close the modal window and click the preview icon again, it works perfectly. I don’t know what the issue is with IE9 and showing Google Doc View in iframe. However, if you do a quick google search on “ie google doc viewer iframe”, you will see that it may be an issue with Google Doc Viewer and IE.

@Jasonrhl. Thanks for posting. I have testing the plugin in Joomla 2.5 with access level as registered for the article and menu item and the plugin at public access level and it works perfectly.

How are you setting up your custom group permissions? Maybe if you share what you did I may be able to assist you.

@daveozric. Thanks for posting. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a PC at the moment, so I can’t test that out. But I will do so first thing on Monday when I get back to the office from my trip.

However I can tell you that I did test it on IE before releasing it. So, it should work. From the error message it seems as though you may have a security setting on IE that is restricting display in an iframe. I’ll help you more on Monday.

@alfred. Thanks for taking the time out to post your comments. I do admit that the site seems a bit slow today, but that is an unusual occurrence. There are very few ads on the site, which have been situated and utilized in a way to minimize any negative impact on forum users. However, they are utilized to maintain reasonably free (and unrestricted) support for everyone.

If you have any suggestions for improvement, or even a more favored forum product that you think may provide a better experience for you and others, please feel free to email me at support[at]michaelgilkes[dot]com

    All the best,

@dlr. that was cool of you to make those modifications, especially setting up the virtual directory. You may have to edit the helper.php file a bit. I don’t have access to my code right now, since I am out of town and out of the office, but I think I might have hard coded the images folder in the helper.php file. Have a look, and see if you can figure it out. I try to make my code as self explanatory as possible. If you can’t sort it out, I’ll be happy to help you on Monday when I get back.

@dituyi. Thanks for posting. Could you provide a link so that I can see what you mean? I am more than happy to help you. However I am out of town and away from the office. So, I am limited in how much I can help until Monday when I get back.

However from what you explain it may just be an issue of your wysiwyg editor adding extra tags. That is just an educated guess since I would need more info from you, and possibly temporary admoin access to your site.

If you don’t want to post a link to your site on the forum, that’s fine. Just email me.

PS. You pho info is fine.

@toomanylogins. Version 2.0 is ready! (I posted a tweet about it on twitter)

    Check it out: https://www.valorapps.com/

There is a discount coupon available for those who bought the previous version last year. You have to email me for it though.

BTW… I’ll be boarding a plane in a few hours. So, due to my travels, support will be limited or even unavailable until Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@rparlett. Ah… you are suing Joomla 1.5! Ok, the minimum javascript requirement for Easy Folder Listing Pro 2.0 is Mootools 1.2.4. To make the plugin work on Joomla 1.5, you must enable “System – Mootools Upgrade” plugin in the Plugins Manager. This plugin is a system plugin that is available in the latest version of Joomla 1.5.

Once you enable this version, all the javascript that controls the collapsing and expanding will work.

@larsjuul. Easy Folder LIsting Pro doesn’t do file uploads. Easy Flash Uploader and Easy File Uploader do.

In terms of the demo… that is an interesting request. However, because it is a demo site, I really can’t allow users to actually upload files to my server. So, the demo shows how the plugin works, but deletes the uploaded file instead of copying it to the specified location.

However, it is certainly possible to use Easy Flash Uploader or Easy File Uploader to upload files to a folder that Easy Folder Listing or Easy Folder Listing Pro is monitoring as the source of a listing.

So, the short answer to your question is YES.
