Related .htaccess question. Easy Folder Listing Pro 2.2 is being used with Joomla 2.5 to look at specific subdirectories within the joomla root directory. Access to the plugin is restricted to Joomla registered users. Some (most) of the subdirectories of interest have .htaccess control, limited to a group of users that is identical to the group to the group of joomla registered users. What happens is that the user must first log in the web site. Then when he starts to use easy folder listing pro, he gets the standard user name and password box that is generated by .htaccess. So he has to enter a user name and password twice. Is there a way to avoid having this double challenge? The files in these directories are not intended for the public. Note: I don’t need to use .htaccess if there is some other effective way to keep the files private.
