When downloading a file the file type extension gets dropped.

I’m using Joomla 3.4 and Easy Folder Listing Pro 3.01.

The files listing shows up correctly. When you click on the example_file.docx, the file downloads, but does not keep the “.docx” extenison. This happens with all files except “.pdf”.

I am able to download the document correctly, if I type in the correct path and filename.

@stenniswood. Is Joomla 3.4 released yet? To my knowledge the latest official version is 3.3.3.

I am not aware of this particular issue on Joomla 3.3. Is there a link that I can use to access your site and investigate for myself?

Our production site is 3.3.3. Not sure where the 3.4 came from….

@stenniswood. Thanks for posting that. I was able to figure out what the problem is. I will fix it in the next release, and try to post the new release by the end of the week.

Have you been able to make any progress on the new release?

@stenniswood. I am in the process to releasing version 3.1, so I was going to incorporate the bug fix to the new release. That release should be ready in a few days. If you need to get it fixed asap, please go to ‘components/com_easyfolderlistingpro/views/download/tmpl’, open up the default.php file, and on line 81, you will see:

header('Content-Disposition: '.$this->attachment.';filename="'.$this->filename.'";');

1	header('Content-Disposition: '.$this->attachment.';filename="'.$this->filename.'";');

change it to:

header('Content-Disposition: '.$this->attachment.';filename="'.$this->filename.'.'.$this->extension.'";');

1	header('Content-Disposition: '.$this->attachment.';filename="'.$this->filename.'.'.$this->extension.'";');

This will fix the issue with the missing file extension.
