Show Title not Filename in list

Sorry, but I couldn’t find an answer in the existing topics:
Can I show the titles (NOT the filenames) of a list of PDFs in a folder and still put a link on the title?
It’s a crucial argument for using Easy Folger Listing Pro” or not.

@tschaipi. Thanks for posting. That functionality you describe is available in Advanced Folder Listing. You can create a custom field called “Title”, and enter titles for each of your files, then specify that field as the link field.

Thanks for the speedy reply. So Easy Folder Listing doesn’t read out the existing meta information in PDF-files?

@tschaipi. No, none of my extensions read the contents of the file. Easy Folder Listing Pro reads meta data from the file system, such as file name, file size, modified date, etc.
