Preview as stream instead of Google Docs?

would it be possible to change the preview from Google Docs to stream?

For example, that a video also can be streamed instead of only downloaded?

Using Google Docs Viewer was originally a recommendation by one of the customers/users of the extension. Do you know of any open source/free video streaming viewer?

Hi Michael,

doesn’t the simple “open” command works?

For example:

When i create a website with directory listing and then click on video file it opens the link as a stream (plugin from web browser).

What i have in mind?

I’m sharing my video collection within my family (in my country this is legal). i’am using Joomla 3.3.6 and the only solution until now was with a directory listing, but this isn’t really comfortable, since i only can list alphabetically… no search, no AFL listing features.

I want to use my AFL for give the possibility to download AND stream my video’s.

Also when i’m on the road, i could then easy stream my video on my iphone/ipad (where i don’t want to download the whole file).

If the open Command doesn’t work, how about VideoLan (http://www.videolan.org/videolan/)?

Hi Michael,

just to be clear, i personally don’t need the Google Docs Preview function at all.

So i can modify just the script on my server, you don’t need to script all new 😉

Just give me a hint where and what i have to change.

i guess it is in the Listing.Class.php starting at 994, right?
