i just bought AFL. Installation went fine and i created some lists.

I am having problems, that some of my lists don’t work and ends up quickly with a Error 500 page.

Also when i try to download files, some works fine, some don’t.

    Environment:

Mac Mini Server OS X 10.7.5

    PHP 5.3.15

    SQL 5.5.19

    Joomla 2.5.8

    Any help apreciated.

    Best regards

    Thomas

@klaey. Thanks for posting. I would love to help you. However, i would need to see the web pages with the problem. Also, you need to give me some more details of what it going on.

From what I know, persons get error 500 pages if they don’t access the list via a menu page alias. Also, you can give me temporary admin on your site, if you want me to look at your site personally. Just email me the details if you are interested in doing that.

@klaey. Ok. I was able to look at your site. The component works exactly as intended.

The issue you face is that you have not setup your menu system correctly. If you look at your main menu, the link for the “Music” points to an article. It does not point to the listing. The link for the listing is created as a sub-menu link of the “Music” link. But it seems as though you have set your menu module to not show sub-menu items. So, this is why you are not seeing it. Your menu module is not configured correctly to show sub-menu items, and you have the third listing as sub-menu item. Change “Show Sub-menu Items” from Yes to No.

Lastly, I notice that you are using the component to list over 1000 files in one listing and over 3000 files in another listing. To view this, you are not using a paginated view, but rather a full table view. Although this can be done. I do not advise listing thousands of files in one listing. It provides a terrible user experience. Please review my FAQ to understand why I say this.

I haven’t checked out the issue with downloading files. If you could let me know 1 or 2 specific files that don’t work, and 1 or 2 files that work, I would be happy to test it for you.
