ERROR: Call to a member function setState() on a non-object

I’ve been able to use PureTabs in an article (great!), but have been unsuccessful using it inside a component. In our case, this is EventBooking, a popular Event Registration component.

To see the error, scroll on the right side of the page until you see the Upcoming Events module on the right which displays upcoming events and click the link.

It would be great to use it to style the events for our website.

@gccaweb. Thanks for posting. I was able to see the error. I am not 100% certain as to the cause of it by just seeing the error. Could you provide me with a temporary admin login so that I can go into the backend and see how the article is be gin referenced by Event Registration. I am not really familiar with Event Registration component. However, just email me the temporary admin info and I will check it out for you.

@gccaweb. I just thought of something. Maybe the issue is the actual reference you are using. Instead of using “http://www.gcca.net/beta/component/eventbooking/?task=view_event&event_id=44&Itemid=641” as the link, use the alias link “http://www.gcca.net/beta/2011-06-25-05-28-36/258-puretabs-sampe”

Try that first, and tell me if it works. Links in Joomla should always reference a menu item, and not a direct link to a component item.
