@SGaymer. Thanks for posting. application/msword should be listed in the default Permitted File types for Easy File Uploader Module. See the Documentation for reference.
Please copy and paste, or post a screenshot of the values you have set for “Permitted File Types”.
The only other problem that I know of is that the browser could be detecting a wrong value. However, this is typically rare. Please let me know which browser you are using and please try another browser just to rule out this possibility. Also, you can send me an email of the uploader page link so that I may test it myself.
