Joomla 3.2.2, php5.3. Module is configured to appear on a page accessed via menu. Browse works fine. When I click upload it takes me to my homepage. I tried setting * as file restriction and making directory on server 777 permissions… nothing helped. I read in another post the solution was to enable SEF urls… I cannot do that on my site as too many other things stop working. Is there another solution?
The page is a “create an article” type menu item. The Easy File Uploader module is inside an article (using the Modules Anywhere plugin extension) which is inside a module (using the Articles Placed Anywhere extension) which is assigned to a position on that page. I also tried assigning the Easy File Uploader to a module position by itself on that page (ie, without the nested module in article in module) and it still didn’t work. As I said in my original post, I do not want turn on SEF.
Please close this ticket… I tried a different file uploader extension and it works. I like your overwrite yes/no option better than your competitor’s backup option, but I can’t spend any more time on this.
@azjoe. I am sorry that you chose another extension rather than continue the conversation. However, I am glad you were able to find a solution that meets your needs. I will be updating the extensions soon. So, feel free to try out the new version when it comes out next month or so.
Cheers.
