Is there a way that I can add multiple copies of the module specifying different upload directories? When i try this, it still only uploads to the same directory for all of them.
@dkirmis. Of course. This is how Joomla modules work. This is what I, and other users of my modules, do to use Easy File uploader for multiple purposes on one or more pages.
You must be doing something wrong, since I do this all the time. Maybe you can explain what you have done, and I can advise you.
Are you using the module in an article with {loadposition}? If so, are you specifying a different position that relates to the position in different modules?
I had 3 modules and had them all assigned on the same menu item/page in the same position, so that they appeared underneath eachother. I had to create 3 different menu items and have them appear on 3 different pages in order for it to work. If they all appeared on the same page, uploaded files all went to the directory list in the first module. Does that make sense? LOVE this extension, though…needed a way for the HR director to upload files for employees from the frontend.
@dkirmis. Yes. it does make sense. Please review the documentation for Easy File Uploader. If you look at the documentation, I explain that you need to change the “Input File Variable Name” to something different for each module you have in the same article. Once you do that, everything will work on the same article.
Thank you this worked perfectly! I did not see the documentation anywhere on the site. I downloaded the extension from Joomla’s extensions and the support link took me right to the michaelgikes.com forum. I did not know to go to the valor apps site with the documentation link.
