    Hi Michael,

I’m configuring this great extension for a website. Great work… Thanks!

I will be using it to list PDF Newsletters. They are named newsletter-month-2012.

I want them listed in reversed chronological order but the creation/modified date of the pdf files are all the same so I can’t use the “order by mod date” feature either.

DO you have a solution for this interesting problem?

    Cheers,

    Gilles

@gg007. Thanks for your question. Well, this is one of the limitations of this plugin. The ordering is dependent on the information that can be obtained from the file itself. You can either figure out how to change the modified date, or change the way you name the files. For example, you can name them newsletter-YYYY-month instead of newsletter-month-YYYY, or even newsletter-YYYY-MM.

Let me know what you think.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for your response. I was afraid of that 🙁

In order to display the files in a pleasing way, the client uses the actual name of the month in the filename ie. JANUARY. so this won’t work.

I’ll see what I can do as far as changing the mod date of the file itself. Let me know if you think of a way around this challenge.

    Thanks again,

    Gilles

    Hey Michael,

I found a solution, thought I’d share with you / the forum community.

I “recreated” the files my simply copying them in order into the folder I wanted. As the get copied, they inherit the current date/time and therefore are in the correct chronological order.

    This worked perfectly.

    Cheers,

    Gilles
